10/28 – Poppy had her official vet visit today. (Needless to say, everyone loved her!!) She has gained a couple of pounds, had a needle biopsy done on her bumps(results coming tomorrow), her spay and prolapse look very good, she looks great, and will start her doxycycline this evening as part of her pre- treatment for heartworms. Poppy continues to be a very sweet girl, she is housebroken, crate-trained, and gets along well with the resident dogs(two grumpy old guys)
10/24 – From Poppy’s foster home: “Day one with Poppy was a definite success! She was a good girl in her crate, no accidents and no “exploding” dog bed in the crate. She was very happy to see me, went outside to potty, had her dinner, played with some toys, and tried to get my grumpy old guy (unsuccessfully) to play. I think fostering this girl is going to be a breeze…
10/22 0– Please welcome Poppy to the rescue! Poppy is estimated to be about a year old and is unfortunately heartworm positive. She came into the shelter with a prolapsed uterus, had surgery and was spayed. She just got to her foster home today, so we will have more information and pictures on this beauty to come.00000220
