11/21 – Here is an update from his foster home: “Dylan Thomas had a good first night. He saw the vet on his way home yesterday. Due to malnourishment, she recommended a slow introduction to food. His GI tract needs to adjust to being nourished. He will start with lower-volume feeds that will gradually increase his intake over 5 days. Is he happy? No-he wants the whole bag but not yet lil man. He received a Subquo bolus at the vet to help give him a hydration boost. He was introduced to the three pack and all went well. Once he relaxed enough last night to sleep he was out cold for 7 hours. He is happy, a real love bug and is already becoming a Velcro dog. Keep the positive vibes coming for him. It will be a slow road to get him back to full health. I
11/20 – Please welcome this sweet boy, Dylan Thomas, to the rescue. Is he a boxer?…nope, was he in DESPERATE need of help, most definitely yes!! Dylan Thomas was set to be euthanized at noon today. Can you imagine living in such hell, and dying because humans failed you so badly?! We are so thankful for our foster that said, “Not on my watch!” Dylan Thomas has much-needed weight to gain, and he is, unfortunately, heartworm positive…so this baby has a mountain to climb, but he will!! Dylan Thomas is only 35 pounds at 2 years old and has a body score of 1 out of 9.
