12/16/25 – Update from foster family: Prince continues to do well in his foster home. Personality & Behavior:

 

He’s a gentle soul who loves lounging near his humans and soaking up attention. He’s house-trained, is working on basic commands, and walks OK on a leash. He has spurts of high energy but also enjoys napping. Prince does have some pretty severe separation anxiety, which given his history makes sense. When people are around, he is not destructive – when he is left alone, he will find something to tear up. We started leaving him in the kennel when we would be gone for short periods but he was doing everything he could to try and break free including wedging his arms outside of the kennel. We then tried leaving him with access to certain parts of the house with our dog and it was usually fine. Now that Christmas décor has come out there are too many temptations and we must go back to using the kennel. He will need someone who can really work with him on his separation anxiety. Being around people, going for a walk, playing fetch, treats. He’s ready for his forever home—a loving family who will appreciate his affectionate nature. He would do great with another dog, as he is very respectful of our boxer Hazel.
