Tug 2018

Hi everyone my name is Tug I’m a very special boy I am considered a special needs boy because I have Diabetes which is kind of rare for a dog so young. But it does not stop me one little bit!!  My Foster mommy said that I am very smart and will be a quick learner. Have been learning new things every day.  I am very curious and fun loving, with lots of sassiness and spunk.  The resident boxers and I play all the time and I love it but can tent to get a bit crazy with excitement.  Toys are my favorite thing to carry around and the squeaky ones are my favorite and sometimes foster mommy has to remind me to share since I want to keep them all to myself.  I am house broken and will run to the back door when its time for me to go potty.

Tug gets his shot for his diabetes insipidus in the morning and evening every day (every 12 hours)  This is given to him in the back of his neck where you can pull some skin up.  He does great.  We get a treat and give to him and he sits and waits for his shot then we tell him what a good boy he is and he gets another treat when he is done.  The medication comes in a vial that needs to be refrigerated and lasts for about 3 months so the cost with shipping is about $60.00 total for 3 months.  So the monthly cost of his medicine is about $20.00 a month. He will have to have the shots for the rest of his life, but will live a perfectly normal and healthy life.  He is the happiest and sweetest boy and he will live a long happy life if given his medicine everyday.
